Jan 26th, 2010 by mjroccaro1014

I’m a little late on reading this book, but I just finished it and it was amazing! I wish I had a Miss Lydia in my life! I really, really, really loved this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a brain!

Blog on: Thirteen Reasons why
Dec 11th, 2009 by Kassi Torrence

so I literally finished Thirteen Reasons Why in a week. I loved the book, but often found it extremely depressing. Hannah, the main character is very true on what she says, how one thing affects everything. Parts of this book really made me cry. But it had a really great meaning. I felt like Hannah tried to get people to notice, but not really as much as she thought she had. I was trying to race through the book to find where clay was in the tapes. This was a fast paced read with excitement, happiness, and depressing parts all the way through. I really reccomend people to read it. Even though suicide is a really touchy subject, this really shines a light on how important it is to notice if people need help and not to ignore them. I will definetely read this again.

Blog on: Beastly
Dec 11th, 2009 by Kassi Torrence

So I finished Beastly after a week or so in October. I absolutely loved it! It was a completely different story of Beauty & The Beast, told in a more edgier version. The characters I thought were very credible. Lindy was my favorite, because she was sweet and honest and never did any wrong to anyone. Kyle was a jerk, but soon learned that apperances shouldn’t mean so much. I also enjoyed the other characters. This story told an extremely great message about whats on the inside counts and not so much on the outside. I am looking forward to reading more Gateway Books. I am glad I read this book!

Boot Camp
Nov 5th, 2009 by Shanedeezy

The is a very exciting book that involves an important rich figure who is dating a teacher and is thinking nothing of it because he thinks he can do what he want because he is so spoiled. This figure is someone who does anything to push their parents button. He is sent to boot camp where he realizes that being selfish will only get you in worse. That if you work as a unit then things will come easily. He hates being there and finds out that there is an escape group. He helps the group escape and from being killed. He gets caught and says he should have gotten the torture he did. If you like action and suspense then this is the book for you. SWH

November Blues
Nov 4th, 2009 by Ashley Raby

This book took a really long time to get started. The book over all was great, it started out really sad, but became happier throughout the book. I think the stunt of jumping out the two story building was really, really stupid. I would hate to be Jericho because he did encourage Josh to jump out of the window. I also think it would be hard to be November and have Josh’s baby especially with his parents wanting the baby. I think I would have done the same thing that November decided to do. I would have kept the baby because Josh’s parents only wanted Sunshine if she didn’t have any disabilities.  A baby should not have to be perfect in order for someone to want it!!!

Unwind
Nov 2nd, 2009 by Ashley Raby

I think this book took a while to get started, but once it did I couldn’t put the book down. My favorite point of view was Connor’s. I thought his was more action packed. But I also kind of enjoyed Lev’s point of view because I was curious what it felt like to know that you were going to be unwound. But, I also enjoyed Risa’s point of view because she was so smart. In other words I enjoyed all of the point of views, but I wish Connor’s was a little longer and the rest were a little shorter but in all the book was very good.

Deadline

Deadline is a fascinating book. It jumps right into the story from the beginning. It faces questions of life and death, right and wrong, and all questions of any kind in a very humorous way. It has a very real message. I love how knowing he only has a year to live makes Ben embrace life more than ever rather than curl up in fear. He’s a rather interesting character with a unique perspective. Hey-soos is also n interesting and very funny addition to the story.  I’m sure to recommend it.

Unwind
Oct 13th, 2009 by JorgieLynn

I’m still trying to get a hang of this whole thing but i wanted to put a post about unwind(i put a comment as well). My mom bought me thins book for Christmas for no reason, and I kind of thought it looked real dumb but I started to read it, and did not let go of it until I finished it that night. The book is great. The story reminds me of Brave New World in the way that it took something that was going on in the world and took it to the extreme. The story is about people not being able to decide if  abortion was wrong, so people deciding to have there kids unwind instead of aborted. In the story you can see it in the point of view of three kids, who are running away, or ready for being unwond. In my opinion it is a lot better then the other book you have to read before October 14th, November Blue, and it is on of my favorite book club books of the year.

November Blues
Oct 12th, 2009 by cjstin

The book November Blues had a good story to it but it wasn’t written to make it exciting. I thought the book was very dull and boring. I thought the main character was very whiny and it just annoyed me, I always thought you got knocked up you have to deal with it. The book also had a very straight story line and just one little bump when the baby was born. I thought that was the only exciting part of the novel. I thought the book sounded good but was disappointed after I read.

Wicked Lovely (Jorgie’s Opinion)
Oct 10th, 2009 by JorgieLynn

Okay when I read this book, I read it randomly at the biggening of last year because amazon said I would like it. Well I did not like it very much at all, but read it anyways. I have to say that know after I read the next two books in the series Im in Love. the book sucks but every book after it gets better. I do not like the main character of that book whatever he name is but in the next one the story is about one of her best friends Leslie and Leslie got some serious problems with these two fairy guys named Irial and Niall and all this really cool stuff happens. And the summer queen (totally can not remember the chicks name) has to deal with seeing her friend messed with by the fairies. Its good and is called Ink Exchange

Then after that books comes Fragile Enternity, and I still do not like the girl from Wicked Lolvely but this book is all about Owen! and i absoulty love him better then the summer king, but think summer queen chick dose not deseve Owen he is to wonderful. Anyways the whole book is about him trying to be with the main girl from wicked lolvely and the struggles they have to go through to be together, because he is not a fairy. and she gets supper close to summer king cause summer is coming it bad

OWEN RULES!

then in April another book comes out called Radiant Shadows
