Notes about changes to the blog:

Last year, we tried to allow both posts and comments to appear immediately, without waiting for the blog managers to approve them. However, due to limitations with the blogging software, we found we were only able to allow comments to appear immediately. Posts continued to require moderation, creating a waiting period between the post's creation and its appearance on the blog. (If you're confused about the difference between posts and comments, please see the READ ME FIRST page on the Blogging Page.)

We are pleased to announce that upgrades to the blogging software should make it possible to see both posts and comments on the 08-09 blog immediately after you submit them, without delays. Yes, for real this time! As long as entries contain no questionable words that would cause them to be held for moderation, you should see your entries published on the blog without delay. The site will continue to be monitored for your safety, but the security in place-both computer and human monitoring, will be less disruptive!

Be sure to read the "READ ME FIRST" page as you go to the blogs to understand how to find the posts about your book choice, without needing to sort through posts about the other books.

Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties while blogging.

Enjoy blogging the 08-09 Gateway nominees!
